Sensible only if HubSpot is already your home — the $1-per-lead meter quietly turns a cheap seat into a $500-plus month at modest volume.

True solo cost · lowfrom $515About $515/mo — 1 Starter seat at $20 plus roughly $495 of extra HubSpot Credits for 500 recommended leads (500 leads x 100 credits, less the 500 credits included monthly, at $0.010 per credit), assuming the agent is the only credit consumer and intent monitoring is excluded
True solo cost · typicalfrom $2015About $2,015/mo — 1 Starter seat at $20 plus roughly $1,995 of extra credits for 2,000 recommended leads on the same maths; Professional at $90/seat changes the seat fee and included credits (3,000, covering 30 leads) but not the $1-per-lead reality

What HubSpot Breeze Prospecting Agent is — in our words

HubSpot's Prospecting Agent is an outbound and re-engagement agent that lives inside HubSpot CRM — this is not inbound lead capture, although the same Breeze family includes a separate customer agent for inbound conversations. It monitors companies you enrol for buying signals such as funding, leadership changes and engagement spikes, researches the account, selects a small number of contacts, and drafts personalised outreach from your inbox, which it can send or hold for your approval depending on how you configure it. Because it works on CRM records, its natural strength is founders already running their pipeline in HubSpot: prospects, research, drafts, sends and outcomes all sit in the system of record, with no export-import loop and no second database to keep clean. The limits follow from that design. It recommends and drafts more than it autonomously closes the loop — reply handling and booking lean on HubSpot's wider sales tools and on you — and sourcing brand-new contacts beyond your CRM and its data partners is thinner than a dedicated prospecting database. Pricing also needs care: beyond the per-seat Sales Hub subscription, the agent charges per recommended lead in HubSpot Credits, and the credits included with cheaper plans cover only a handful of leads a month, so real volume is a metered add-on, not a bundled feature.

What it does end-to-end

  • Monitor enrolled companies for buying signals and research accounts
  • Select contacts and draft personalised outreach inside HubSpot CRM
  • Send approved outreach from your connected inbox
  • Keep prospects, activity and pipeline in one CRM record
  • Let you set daily and monthly caps on agent activity

What it does NOT do

  • Work outside HubSpot — a paid Sales Hub subscription is required
  • Include meaningful lead volume in cheap plans; included credits cover only a few leads monthly
  • Match dedicated databases for net-new prospect sourcing at scale
  • Run a fully autonomous reply-to-booking loop without your involvement

Pros — our take

  • Zero data plumbing if HubSpot is already your CRM
  • Per-lead outcome pricing is published and easy to model
  • Approval controls and spend caps suit a cautious founder

Cons — our take

  • Per-lead credit maths makes volume far pricier than the seat price suggests
  • Professional tier adds a mandatory $1,500 one-time onboarding fee
  • Weak reason to adopt if you are not already committed to HubSpot
